Whenever I hear this, I know the practice owner sees branding and marketing as a commodity. Everyone does the same thing and delivers the same value but some just make it sound fancier. The truth is, if you don’t build a unique brand right from the start and assess the right type of metrics, you will become a commodity yourself. Just another dentist. Fiat isn’t Mercedes.
1. Foundation
How do you want to stand out in an already overcrowded market if you don’t look at what your competitors are doing and create something unique?

👉 Unique offers
👉 Unique content
A generic tooth symbol, templated website and stock images don’t cut it anymore. You failed before you even launched. You need an in depth competitive audit before you touch anything else.
2. Assessing results
👉 If your agency is working on new patients - ask them for analytics on where new patients are coming from
👉 If your agency is working on SEO - you should actually show up for the phrases they are optimizing for
👉 If your agency is working on your dream goals - they should be written down and specific and if they are not achieving them, they should at least have a plan on how to.
Maintenance is not an option, practices need to grow or more aggressive competitors will steal their patients.
